FIVE TON MONKEY

Chris McAlister has been working professionally in the creative field for nearly two decades. Hailing from Winter Park, Florida, he has always shown an interest in the visual arts, theater, and cinema. With a father who was an engineer and woodworker and a mother who was a scientist, Chris comes by his desire for problem-solving honestly. He may very well have been raised by PBS programs like “The Joy Of Painting” and “New Yankee Workshop.”

Between his eye for aesthetics and composition, his drive for accomplishing his goals, and his love of working with his hands, Chris has earned a reputation as a renaissance man. Many of his colleagues on stage and behind the scenes refer to him as the “chris-army-knife” due to his preparedness and dependability (he was even once compared to Harry Tuttle from the movie Brazil by Adam).

Outside of his creative ventures, Chris spends much of his time traversing mountains and forests, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and attempting to befriend every dog he crosses paths with.
