The Ceiba tree was fabricated by slicing the 3D model provided by the Art Department into 3” slices, cutting over sixty sheets of 4’ x 8’ foam into over two-hundred indexed parts, stack-laminating, carving,
hard-coating and finishing them, separating the form into eight sections which we trucked to and then
assembled on location. Greens, Special Effects, and Visual Effects created a leafy canopy overhead.
